Each issue of this popular science fiction & fantasy magazine contains over 40,000 words of fiction, articles, interviews, reviews and editorial. Published every 2 months, Andromeda Spaceways has an enviable reputation for regularity. Why does the world need another SF magazine? Because not enough humorous SF & Fantasy gets into print. Because SF can be printed AND entertaining at the same time. Because it's not the size of the sword, it's where you stick it. Because too many 'light-hearted, un-serious' stories are rejected. Because first-time authors have a hell of a time getting into print... And because six issues a year for A$49 is too good to resist. PAYMENT: Short Fiction: 1.25c/Word (Australian), with a $20 minimum per piece. (POP) Poetry and Flash Fiction: A$10 per piece. Artwork: We pay A$100 per cover and A$20 per internal piece. Yes, we'd love to pay more for art and fiction, but then we'd go broke. Every contributor receives a copy of the magazine their item appears in, whether that's fiction, non-fiction, artwork or poetry.
